Saturday, May 18th - Earth Event

  • Plant a Tree (10:00 am) – We'll be having our annual tree contest.  In The Pines Seasonal Camp-Resort will be donating trees to two of our In The Pines campsites.  If you would like to have a tree planted, then please submit your name and we'll add you to our tree drawing.  If we draw your name you may choose your tree from a selection of trees we have for you.  On May 18th we'll invite all the camp kiddos to help us plant your new tree.  In The Pines will keep it watered for you for its first growing season.  The kids always enjoy getting their hands dirty rain or shine.

  • Water Pollution Activity (after tree-planting)-  While some forms of pollution can be remedied or reversed - this isn't always the case. That's why prevention is so important.  While it would be nice to think that cleaning water is an easy task to do, it can actually take a number of steps to get it clean.  Our camp kids will have a better understanding of cleaning water after completing this water pollution experiment.
  •  Movie Night (7 pm) – Since we'll be learning about taking care of our oceans, our featured film will be “Finding Dory.” The movie starts at 7 pm.  Please bring snacks and beverages.  Chairs are provided.  Adults and kids are welcome!

Camp Calendar of Events!!

We love to have events at In The Pines Seasonal Camp-Resort!!  We  have a great building to have all sorts of events rain or shine.

We will again be focusing on nature-based activities for the kids.  We  know what it's like to have your kiddo driving you a bit stir crazy as they ask for something to do.  We plan to help you burn some of that energy they have.  They may even learn something too.  We'll be having nature activities for all the camp kids this summer.  They will get some environmental education while they camp at In The Pines.  Don't worry though... We won't mention to them that it's educational. ;)

We will again be bringing back the requested favorites.  Like the Carnival, Movie Nights and Christmas in July.  We'll be switching up the adult tournaments this year by switching out two of the "Bags Tournaments" with a "Bocce Ball Tournament" and a "Horseshoe Tournament."   Yummy "Smoker's Weekend" is once again planned for the adults as well as a Brewer's / Cubs game.  Don't forget our very festive 4th of July Parade , kite fest and Halloween event will also be on the schedule.  We are so excited to share  These events with you, and can't wait to celebrate the 2019 season with you!

These events are for In The Pines campers and their guests only.  To view more great photos of our events, please click on our Blog at the top of the page.  (The blog will be updated soon)

Saturday, August 10th

  • Kids Nature Class (10:00 am) - Web Of Life: Everything and everyone is connected.  Air, water. Soil, plants, animals and people.  All the elements of life are bound together in an amazing balanced system that has evolved to allow for survival on this planet.  This is the great web of life.  Whatever happens to one of its strands influences the system as a whole.  We’ll be teaching our camp kids just how important it is to take care of each other, and all things in nature.  We’ll be playing a game with the kids about the Web of Life.  We also want the kids to feel that they are a great and wonderful part of this planet.  After our game we’ll make our very own “Journey Stick.”  Journey Sticks were made by the Aborigines to tell their story and illustrate the journey they made in life.  Even though our kids may be small, they each have a journey and will be able to illustrate them in their very own Journey Stick.
