~May 2018~

Saturday, May 19th - Earth Event

  • Plant a Tree (10:00 am) –In The Pines Seasonal Camp-Resort will once again be donating trees to two of our In The Pines campsites.  If you would like to have a tree planted then please submit your name and we will add you to our tree drawing.  If we draw your name you may choose your tree from a selection of trees we have for you.  Then on May 19th we invite all the camp kiddos to help us plant your new tree.  In The Pines will keep it watered for you for its first growing season.  This was a lot of fun last year!!

  • Worm Compost (after tree-planting)-  Since we'll already be dirty we thought this would be a great time to teach our camp kids all about worms, and how to start their very own compost bin for food scraps, a garden, or family fishing trips.  Kids will get these great tips in case they decide to start their own bin at home.  Worms are actually quite fascinating little wigglers, and super helpful to our environment.

  •  Movie Night (7 pm) – In the evening enjoy some yummy "worm dirt" with a fun-filled movie night.  The movie we will be featuring will remind us of how important it is to take care of our Earth.  Please join us in the party barn on the big screen for the viewing of Wall-E.

Camp Calendar of Events!!

We love to have events at In The Pines Seasonal Camp-Resort!!  We now have a great building so that we can have all sorts of events rain or shine.

We will again be focusing on nature-based activities for the kids.  We  know what it's like to have your kiddo driving you a bit stir crazy as they ask for something to do.  We plan to help you burn some of that energy they have.  They may even learn something too.  We will be having nature hikes for all the camp kids this summer.  They will get some environmental education while they camp at In The Pines.  Don't worry though... We won't mention to them that it's educational. ;)

We will again be bringing back the requested favorites.  Like the Carnival, Community Bonfires and Christmas in July.  We will once again have Bags Tournaments and "Smoker's Weekend" planned for the adults.  Don't forget our very festive 4th of July Parade , kite fest and Halloween event will also be on the schedule.  We are so excited to share  These events with you, and can't wait to celebrate the 2018 season with you!

These events are for In The Pines campers and their guests only.  To view more great photos of our events, please click on our Blog at the top of the page.
